Prof. Hagwil Hayetsk (Charles Menzies) is a member of Gitxaała Nation and a professor in anthropology at University of British Columbia, Vancouver. He Is a maritime anthropologist, filmmaker, + sometimes self-identified political gadfly.

Proif. Hagwil Hayetsk (Charles Menzies) reflects on three and a half decades of north coast research. This is work that centered Indigenous perspectives + collaborative practices. The foci have included settler/Indigenous conflicts, Indigenous ecological knowledge, crown institutions, + settler anthropological practices.
